Matt McNabb— A Toru Success Story

Three years ago a young eager developer joined Toru Interactive with the ambition of becoming a fully fledged front-end developer through an apprenticeship scheme provided by 3AAA Northampton. Today the same developer — Matt McNabb has decided to continue his professional journey in Ireland and we wish him all the best of luck!

When Matt first joined here at Toru Interactive he was a self-taught developer with a basic grasp on HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP, but needed further training in coding languages to bring him on as a programmer. He very quickly became a proficient coder and became an integral part of the company within the first few months! After completing his apprenticeship he was offered a permanent role as an interface designer, and now mentors the younger members of the team.

Matt McNabb on his experience says:

The past three years here at Toru Interactive have been incredible! I’ve really enjoyed working with such a great team who are not only colleagues of mine, but have now become such close friends too! Sean was such a brilliant mentor, was so patient with me and really believed in my ability as a programmer. As well as developing my technical knowledge, Toru Interactive really developed my character by helping me gain confidence and professionalism within a corporate environment! I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here, and am very excited to see what’s next for me as a programmer!

Sean Toru, Managing Director says:

Matt came here with a little bit of knowledge, a lot of enthusiasm and a good ability. Throughout his apprenticeship Matt learnt so much so quickly that he was easily able to step up to a permanent role within the company as an Interface Developer. He has always worked really well within our team - learning from others and teaching newer members of staff how to be professional programmers. We wish Matt all the best as he starts the next chapter of his life with his wife in Belfast.

Matt will be greatly missed, but we are all very excited for him and wish him the best of luck in all his future endeavours!
