Georgia Harby — Apprentice of The Year Nomination

Last week the 3AAA training academy in Northamptonshire announced their nominees for The 2016 Apprentice of The Year Award, and we were delighted to be informed that our very own Georgia Harby had been nominated as the candidate for Northamptonshire!

Georgia joined us last year, to carry out her ICT Level 3 Apprenticeship and has since become such an integral part of the team. During her apprenticeship Georgia has taken on many responsibilities including project management, building websites and designing user interfaces!

Georgia discussing her experience at Toru Interactive

Nominee Georgia Harby said:

“When I started at Toru Interactive I had a little knowledge about software development and felt as though a project management position would be more suited to me. However, after 6 months I found myself getting involved in app builds, as well as the design process after finding I had a ‘good eye for design’. Since then I have continued to grow within the company and have really benefited learning from the senior members of the team! When I was told that I had been nominated for the award I was completely blown away and I really have to thank the guys at Toru Interactive for helping me grow my professional skills and develop as a person!

Managing Director Sean Toru said:

Georgia progressed really well through her apprenticeship and thoroughly deserves to be nominated for this award. She has proven herself a very capable member of our team and it was an easy decision to offer her a permanent position here at Toru Interactive well before her apprenticeship finished. We look forward to seeing her progress further in future and wish her luck with the National Apprenticeship Awards 2016!

We’re wishing you all the best Georgia in the next stage of the competition! Fingers crossed!
